The news spread quickly: Mille Johansson is set to enrich his 2025 season with an intense programme supported by MS Munaretto.
MS Munaretto will provide the talented young Swede, born in 2005, with a Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo – a competitive and reliable car that will enable him to maximise his potential across six events in the European Rally Championship and five in the CIRT – italian gravel Rally Championship. This programme will complement his already demanding commitment to the Junior WRC, which Johansson, with his co-pilot Johan Gronvall, will enter as a reward for winning the Junior Championship in the previous ERC season.
In the familiar environment of the European Championship, Johansson will kick off his campaign on the asphalt stages of the Rally Sierra Morena in Andalusia, followed by his home event on the gravel roads of the Royal Rally of Scandinavia. His European journey will continue with the high-speed, low-grip tracks of Rally Poland, before tackling a trio of asphalt rallies – Barum Rally, Rali Ceredigion, and Croatia Rally – which will conclude his European series.
In the italian gravel Rally Championship, Johansson promises a fierce challenge starting with the Rally Città di Foligno, followed by Val d’Orcia, Rally Italia Sardegna, San Marino, and Rally del Vermentino, marking an impressive campaign on Italian soil.
Mille expressed his excitement about the project:
“I’m thrilled about the opportunities ahead in the 2025 season. The ERC programme with MS Munaretto presents an exciting challenge. I’m grateful for the team’s support and can’t wait to embark on this new adventure while continuing my journey in the italian gravel Championship to gain further experience on various surfaces.”
Team Principal Alex Munaretto shared his satisfaction with the collaboration:
“Johansson is a raw talent, and we are proud to play a role in his development. Our expertise in nurturing young drivers will be crucial in helping him maximise his potential.”
The collaboration between Johansson and the MS Munaretto team began at the Rally del Brunello in the closing stages of the 2024 season. Mille and Johan showcased their calibre by securing an impressive third-place overall after a fiercely contested battle against Italy’s top gravel specialists. Their performance set the stage for an exciting challenge heading into the 2025 season.
