MS MUNARETTO READY TO KICK OFF THE 2025 SEASON WITH PARTICIPATION IN THE ARCTIC LAPLAND RALLY

The MS Munaretto Team is set to launch the 2025 season with a “frozen” debut at the 60th edition of the Arctic Lapland Rally. The Veneto-based team will enter the race with a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, entrusted to Lauri Joona and Samu Vaaleri. The Finnish crew, carrying number 5 on their doors, will tackle the 215 kilometres of special stages through the wild and impressive Lapland forests, ahead of their first WRC2 commitment of the season in Sweden, scheduled in two weeks.

For Joona, competing in the event for the ninth time, the aim is not only to build further confidence with the team and the car but also to secure a strong result. A key figure in the 2024 edition with a similar car, Joona has completed two days of testing with MS Munaretto, expressing satisfaction with the team’s work and the set-up solution found, which bodes well for his performance in the race.

The Arctic Lapland Rally will start on the morning of Friday, 31 January, with the first car leaving the stage at Lordi’s Square in Rovaniemi at 10:00. Crews will face the first six special stages, while the remaining seven will take place on Saturday, 1 February, making for a total of thirteen timed sections. The competition will finish in the charming centre of Rovaniemi on Saturday evening, closing the second round of the Finnish Rally Championship, which promises to be a true battle for victory, given the high level of the entry list.
